Hello loyal listeners. The Music of My Mind (MoMM) will be on hiatus for the next six weeks as I am working out of province. MoMM will return to the airwaves on THursday June 18 (5:00-6:30 PST) just in time for the Jazzfest and some artist interviews on the program. Take care and we'll talk soon...

Jazz Fest Victoria 2009 Lineup Announced

The lineup for the 2009 Jazzfest Victoria has finally been announced. This year's festival runs from Friday June 26 - Sunday July 5th. While last year's lineup would be incredibly tough to top, festival organizers have once again done an amazing job attracting world class artists to their festival from diverse musical backgrounds. One of the Music of My Mind's favorites, UK soulstress Alice Russell will open the festival on June 26th. Other highlights include Nigerian Juju legend King Sunny Ade and His African Beats, UK bandleader, producer and DJ, Quantic as well as Aussie soul from Blue King Brown and legendary Cuban pianist Chucho Valdes.
